The Fungi Names Project will also scope the production of an agreed names list that resolves differences in generic boundaries and species delimitation as utilised by different herbaria and researchers (along the lines of the Australian Plant Census (APC) project that is being produced for plants).

According to Lebel et al. (2024): "A species originally described from Europe. Reid (1980) examined two collections at K made by Flora Martin (one under her maiden name Flora Campbell), one of which was labelled as “Melbourne” and concluded that “neither […] represents A. ovoidea”. There is no evidence of occurrence in Australia."
