Australian Fungi List. The Fungi Names Project will also scope the production of an agreed names list that resolves differences in generic boundaries and species delimitation as utilised by different herbaria and researchers (along the lines of the Australian Plant Census (APC) project that is being produced for plants).

According to Lebel et al. (2024): "A species originally described from Asia that belongs in Amanita section Caesareae. There is no evidence that A. hemibapha in the narrow sense of the type material occurs in Australia, but molecular evidence suggests that there are at least two distinct undescribed Australian taxa in Amanita section Caesareae (Sánchez-Ramírez et al. 2015)."
