[The authors accept Gyroporus cyanescens as a species of the Northern Hemisphere. Several new species from Australia that share the strong blueing reaction of the flesh are introduced, (some as provisional names) including: G. furvescens, G. austrocyanescens, G. neocyanescens and G. occidentalis; all of which can be differentiated from G. cyanescens on DNA sequence data.]
