" The clampless taxon with ellipsoid spores that is most similar [to A. wadjukiorum] is A. walpolei O.K.Mill., which was described from a single collection. However, re-examination of the type has found that clamp connections are frequent in the lamellae, so that it is quite different from A. wadjukiorum."
