Listed as a doubtful name. The name is illegitimate at species rank, and not protected by sanctioning because the epithet conica was sanctioned by Fries only at infraspecific rank. Despite being interpreted as a member of sect, Distantes, the original sense is probably a species of sect. Morchella.
