Etymology:
"Named for the Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures (“CBS”), where the fungus was first discovered by students during a mycological training course. Its unique conidiogenesis captured the imagination of several mycologists who gathered to examine it, and hence the suggestion arose that its name should reflect the unique concentration of mycologically interested persons at CBS."
